This management policy is based on the pursuit of customer satisfaction and on the continuous improvement of our organisation, in order to respond effectively and efficiently to the changing demands of the market.
This Policy is evidence of Management’s commitment to creating an environment in which people are fully involved and aware of the importance of their role in achieving the set objectives.
The COMPANY POLICY has been drawn up taking into account the management requirements of several international standards, in particular:
▪ the requirements of an Environmental Management System UNI EN ISO 14001;
▪ the requirements of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System ISO 45001;
▪ the requirements of the Responsible Jewellery Council Code of Practices (COP) 2019;
Consequently, the management system adopted aims to ensure:
▪ that the products manufactured meet mandatory regulations and customers’ contractual requirements;
▪ that workplace risks are identified and assessed, and that all necessary actions are taken to prevent and/or limit accidents;
▪ that the factors that may cause environmental impacts are identified and systematically monitored in order to limit their consequences.
The policy on the quality of products/services sets the following objectives:
▪ to increase customer satisfaction by manufacturing products that comply with the required specifications and with current legislation;
▪ to promote throughout the organisation awareness of the importance of meeting customer requirements;
▪ to increase the company’s competitiveness by containing operating costs and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation;
▪ to involve our counterparties in complying with the contents of this policy.
The policy on environmental protection has identified the following objectives:
▪ to ensure compliance with legal requirements and other environmental requirements to which the company subscribes;
▪ to monitor the effects of processes on the environment through systematic analysis of environmental impacts;
▪ to promote at every level of the organisation a sense of responsibility towards environmental protection;
▪ to cooperate fully with the competent authorities, ensuring proper and complete transparency of information.
To achieve these objectives, Management undertakes to:
▪ periodically review the application of legal requirements and other requirements to which the company subscribes;
▪ improve waste management by favouring recovery and/or recycling;
▪ make efficient use of the natural resources required by production processes;
▪ promote staff information and training in order to involve them in the prevention and protection of the environment.
The policy on occupational health and safety has identified the following objectives:
▪ prompt and systematic application of laws and regulations, adopting all preventive measures necessary to safeguard the health and safety of workers;
▪ to encourage the consultation and participation of workers and interested parties in risk assessment and in the identification of preventive measures;
▪ to cooperate fully with local communities and the competent authorities, ensuring proper and complete information.
To achieve these objectives, Management undertakes to:
▪ identify hazards, assess risks and establish adequate measures to limit accidents;
▪ ensure that workers receive information and training on safety in compliance with current legislation;
▪ periodically verify the application of the measures adopted to ensure safety in the workplace.
Aware of the social responsibility that companies must meet for lasting and sustainable growth, the company is committed to promoting ethics, respect for human rights and social practices in compliance with the Responsible Jewellery Council COP 2019 Standard.
Responsible supply chain
▪ to apply the requirements of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas;
▪ to conduct its business with the utmost respect for ethical standards, ensuring integrity, transparency and compliance with applicable laws;
▪ not to tolerate any form of corruption or money laundering, in compliance with all national and international regulations;
▪ to prevent any abuse for the purpose of money laundering and terrorist financing;
▪ to verify every counterparty and ascertain the lawful origin of precious metals;
▪ to interrupt any business transaction deemed suspicious and promptly report it to the competent authorities;
▪ not to enter into any business relationship with organisations whose beneficial owners cannot be identified;
▪ to fully and accurately disclose the characteristics of its products and services;
Human rights
▪ to support the Universal Declaration of Human Rights proclaimed by the United Nations;
▪ not to use child labour or any form of forced labour;
▪ not to engage in any form of discrimination and not to apply degrading treatment, harassment, abuse, coercion or intimidation of any kind;
▪ not to tolerate any kind of abuse against employees and people working in the name and on behalf of the company, and to report any such occurrence;
▪ to promote the importance of transparent communication at all levels of the organisation, encouraging the reporting of improper conduct by anyone working in the name and on behalf of the Organisation;
▪ to comply with applicable labour legislation.
